Groovin' Mid-Week

I've worked on a few projects this week but am not ready to show them yet. My Gwennie inspired medallion center is done. My Porch Quilt, block one is done.

My Rebekah Smith wool appliqué mystery for May is done. Unbeknownst to me I was not supposed to show it on my blog.  I hope Humble Quilts facebook group will give people the benefit of the doubt BEFORE going all crazy and being rude. I took my post down as soon as I saw I wasn't supposed to post it. I'm so sorry to Rebekah for revealing her lovely design.

Now, what I can show. I got my snowball quilt trimmed, label sewn on and ready to add the binding.
I'm almost done with Cheri's scrap basket quilt.

Have a groovin' day!

  1. Love, love, love the snowball! And that is a lot to accomplish in one month! I think the anticipation of the "reveals" will make them all the sweeter. And, THAT is why I have given up most of FB. I still like my groups but I find the rest of it to be like watching reality TV. Actually, what little I have seen of "reality TV" makes me laugh and nasty FB comments just make me sad the think some people are so unhappy in life. O.K. off my soapbox now. Enjoy the day and thanks for sharing!

I did just a little sewing this past two weeks, I was busy taking care of my grand children! I'm working on my medallion center, hope it will be finish before the weekend. Please can you tell me the direction and cutting size to make a snowball? Thanks!

  10. Love your Snowball quilt, esp with the Fan quilting. That s so unfortunate about the wool project & FB group, I feel bad for you. It would ruin the project for me, but I m sure you're a tougher soul than me. [also, you showed it before, and what--no one said anything?]

  11. A nine-patch and snowballs--such a classic combination. It looks great, and I really like the name you have for it.
What--people on Facebook being rude? I can't imagine it. *LOL*
    Sweet stitches on the birdie.

  12. Love your wool crow, you chose some lovely wools to make him.

I'm learning sometimes you just have to step back after making an apology and ignore the haters. Mistakes happen that's why they call them mistakes.

When the time is right you will share the piece. I'm sure it will be worth waiting to see.

  13. I'm still waffling about the Gwennie sampler. I always wanted to attend her retreat but had to cancel the one year I thought it would happen. I thought this would at least be a chance to share ideas. So....

  14. Is the mystery quilt one you paid for? If so, I don't understand why it is something you aren't supposed to show.
